Kim Haffey, MA, MT-BC is a Columbus,OH based singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and board certified music therapist.
During the week Kim provides music therapy services through her music therapy private practice, Dynamic Music Therapy Services LLC.
Kim received her bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace University in music therapy and double bass performance. She completed her Master of Arts in Music & Health Sciences at The University of Toronto.
As a performer Kim has experience playing in a wide range of settings. She enjoys playing her original songs, jazz standards, and pop and Neo soul covers on guitar, bass, and piano. While previously playing in the Cleveland music scene Kim frequently played The Grog Shop, The Beachland Ballroom, Coda Tremont, Larchmere porch festival, and more solo and with her band The Rainbow Emergency. Kim also enjoys playing electric and double bass in a variety of settings such as musical pits, jazz settings, and classical settings. In the past Kim has performed in the pit for Ohio Light Opera, Timberlake Playhouse, and The Beck Center. One of her favorite pit musician experiences was playing electric bass for LIZZIE the musical at The Ohio Theater in 2017.
